Abstract

Leadership plays a crucial role in determining employee performance and overall organizational success. Different leadership styles influence employee motivation, productivity, job satisfaction, communication, and workplace behavior in various ways. This study examines the relationship between leadership styles and employee performance in organizations by analyzing how effective leadership contributes to organizational growth and workforce efficiency. The research focuses on major leadership styles such as transformational, transactional, democratic, autocratic, and laissez-faire leadership and their impact on employee attitudes and performance outcomes. transformational and democratic leadership styles generally encourage employee participation, innovation, teamwork, and higher job satisfaction, leading to improved organizational performance. In contrast, autocratic leadership may increase discipline and decision-making speed but can reduce employee creativity and morale if applied excessively. Transactional leadership is found to be effective in maintaining organizational structure and achieving short-term goals through rewards and performance-based systems.
