Role of Physiotherapy in Post-Surgical Rehabilitation of Total Hip Replacement Patients

Total hip replacement, often known as THR, is a surgical procedure that is frequently performed to treat severe hip joint deterioration, enhance mobility, and alleviate chronic pain. In order to provide the best possible recovery and to restore functionality, post-surgical rehabilitation is an extremely important component. As part of the post-surgical rehabilitation process for total hip replacement (THR) patients, this study investigates the function that physiotherapy plays, with a particular emphasis on enhancing range of motion, strength, gait, and quality of life. In order to provide patients with a systematic physiotherapy program, procedures such as range of motion exercises, strengthening regimens, and gait training were incorporated into the program. The results, which were evaluated over a period of twelve weeks, revealed significant increases in mobility, decreased levels of discomfort, and increased levels of functional independence. Additionally, physiotherapy played a role in the prevention of problems such as joint stiffness and muscular weakness. the crucial role of physiotherapy in facilitating recovery, improving long-term results, and boosting the overall success of total hip replacement surgery. that individualised rehabilitation regimens that are tailored to the specific requirements of each patient are extremely important.
