Identity politics has developed as a defining aspect in the process of producing electoral trends in a variety of civilizations, where social, cultural, and ethnic identities play a key part in political alignment. More specifically, this is the case in cultures where identity politics exert a significant amount of influence over voting patterns. identity politics and voter behavior, with a specific emphasis on the manner in which individuals' affinities with various categories such as race, religion, ethnicity, caste, and gender influence their voting decisions. the relationship between identity politics and voter behavior. This article investigates the strategies that identity-based narratives employ to shift political discourse and mobilize voters. The case studies that are used in this article are from a range of democracies, such as India, the United States of America, and South Africa. Nevertheless, despite the fact that identity politics has the ability to improve representation and promote the empowerment of under-represented groups, it also carries the risk of further dividing society and fostering polarization. The approaches that political actors use to harness identity for electoral profit are evaluated through the investigation of voter behaviour through the lens of identity. Additionally, the impacts that these strategies have on democratic government are analyzed through the examination of voter behaviour. the crucial importance of political practices that are not just inclusive but also strike a balance between identity-based representation and efforts to improve social cohesion and democratic stability within the political system.
