Abstract

The research evaluates how green financing initiatives influence sustainability performance in the global banking sector. Data from 120 banks across North America, Europe, and Asia were analyzed using panel regressions. Findings reveal that banks with dedicated green finance portfolios exhibit better Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) ratings, stronger stakeholder trust, and competitive cost of capital. The paper advocates for regulatory incentives to expand green finance adoption.
