Abstract

This study explores how connected volunteering acts as a catalyst for the emergence of social entrepreneurship among Algerian youth. Using an exploratory qualitative approach based on three initiatives (ACSE, Algérie Verte, and SIDRA), it identifies three key mechanisms: the development of digital and organizational skills, the formation of social capital through online networks, and the creation of innovative solutions to social and environmental challenges. The findings show that connected volunteering provides a low-risk learning environment that fosters entrepreneurial mindsets. The study also proposes an integrated model linking digital engagement to social entrepreneurship and offers practical implications for supporting youth-driven social innovation.
